Kevin and Matt McManus, also known as The McManus Bros, are Emmy nominated TV writers, directors, and producers who have served as writers and producers for Netflix’s comedy-drama series Cobra Kai and Netflix's crime parody series American Vandal. The twins have also written, directed, and produced two feature films – The Block Island Sound, a horror-thriller, and Funeral Kings, a comedy-drama film.
In this episode, The McManus Bros share how they made their sophomore feature come to life and everything they had to do to make this horror film come to life. The Block Island Sound follows Audry Lynch as she returns home to Block Island only to discover her dad is suffering from a series of blackouts and hallucinations. After a particularly stressful night, her father goes missing, leading Audry and her brother Harry to search for answers. They’ll soon find out there is one ominous thread that ties everything together, putting their family in grave danger.
